Curriculum
The Child Study Center (CSC) provides an educational program that gives children meaningful learning experiences deemed significant during the formative years. The emphasis is on the development of desirable habits, attitudes and values along with the attainment of key curricular goals necessary for a child to become self-propelled later in school life.
First Step
The First Step (FS) program espouses developmentally appropriate practices that reflect the children’s emerging interests and capabilities. It is based on an integrated and child-centered curriculum. It utilizes thematic approach in teaching, with multiple sources of authentic assessment, and a strong partnership between home and school. It also includes a variety of experiential activities that incorporate indoor and outdoor play, with ample opportunities to develop their language, self-help and social skills, cognitive and motor skills, as well as music, arts and dramatic skills.
Morning Session (FS-1 to FS-3) 8:00 to 10:15 AM
Afternoon Session (FS-4 to FS-6) 12:30 to 2:45 PM
Nursery and Kindergarten
Nursery and Kindergarten program adopts an eclectic approach in teaching. The curriculum provides a holistic educational process that revolves around the different facets of child development. It adheres and espouses developmentally appropriate practices. Our highly competent teachers constantly invite children to actively collaborate with others to think critically and creatively. The medium of instruction is in English. However, there are lessons and activities wherein Filipino language is used and love of country is strengthened.
Instead of a moving up or graduation ceremony, the CSC holds an annual stage play as its culminating activity with all our students in the cast. The children’s stage play is written and directed by the school’s faculty and administrators. It is an all original Filipino play that highlights the talents of CSC students from First Step to Kindergarten.
At CSC, students are able to gain knowledge, develop skills, and most importantly, have fun as they learn to love learning and become leaders in their own right.
Nursery Morning Session (N-1 to N-4) 7:45 to 10:30 AM
Nursery Afternoon Session (N-5 to N-8) 12:15 to 3:00 PM
Kindergarten Morning Session (K-1 to K-5) 7:45 to 11:00 AM
Kindergarten Afternoon Session (K-A to K-F) 12:15 to 3:30 PM
